Could Auburn make another magical, late-season run this year?

The Auburn Tigers have two incredible runs this decade, and they could be in position to pull off another incredible moment for the program.

It was in 2010 that QB Cam Newton burst onto the scene and led the Tigers to a BCS National Championship under an immense amount of pressure. The Tigers posted a remarkable comeback in the Iron Bowl that season before eventually taking down Oregon for the National Championship.

The most recent and improbable run for the Tigers came in 2013. Gus Malzahn was in his first season as head coach at Auburn when the Tigers secured unbelievable wins over Georgia and Alabama down the stretch. They would eventually lose to Florida State in the BCS National Championship Game that year, but it remains an incredible accomplishment for Auburn.

The Tigers are in position to do the unthinkable yet again with a No. 10 ranking and games remaining against No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Alabama. It will take an unbelievable performance from a team that blew a big lead to LSU earlier this season, but anything can happen.

This year’s Tigers also have a lot of history to draw upon. Auburn Football released a hype video with scenes from the past Thursday, and it should get fans pumped up for Saturday’s game against Georgia:
