This is probably not what Arkansas fans wanted to see following another disappointing loss.

It looked like the Razorbacks may just find a way to pull off an upset of LSU in The Battle for the Golden Boot over the weekend. The two teams headed to halftime with the score tied at seven apiece. Arkansas was definitely in a good position, but things quickly turned sour from there.

The Hogs came out flat in the second half and never stood a chance against the Tigers. LSU scored 26 points over the final two quarters while cruising to a 33-10 victory. Second half woes once again doomed the Hogs and led to another disappointing performance under head coach Bret Bielema.

Arkansas is now 4-6 on the season and has fallen to 29-32 overall during Bielema’s tenure. The loss also dropped the Hogs to 1-5 in the SEC and guarantees that they will have another losing record in the conference. Arkansas has managed just one winning season in the SEC since Bielema took over.

Bielema has been on the hot seat for much of this season with the continued struggles and growing list of frustrating performances. Fans appear ready for a change, but it remains difficult to determine if that change is coming.

Bielema was asked on Monday if he has had any discussions with Arkansas AD Jeff Long about his future with the program, and Kurt Voigt shared Bielema’s brief response on Twitter:

Fans will just have to wait and see if the administration decides to make a change.

Arkansas will return home to take on Mississippi State on Saturday. Kickoff for that game is set for 12 pm EST on CBS.
