Missouri quarterback Drew Lock has broken the SEC record for single-season passing touchdowns.

Coming into Friday’s game against Arkansas, Lock had tossed 38 touchdown passes in the 2017 football season.

Against the Razorbacks, he threw three in the first half. That was enough to break the record.

Lock had 41 TD passes nearing halftime of Friday’s game.

Kentucky’s Andre Woodson threw 40 touchdown passes in 2007. He held the SEC record before Friday. Florida’s Danny Wuerffel had 39 scoring strikes in 1996.

Lock tied the single-season record when he threw his 40th touchdown pass with 6:27 to go in the second quarter against the Hogs. Then, with just over four minutes to go in the half, he eclipsed Woodson’s mark when he hit Albert Okwuegbunam on a 10-yard strike.

Lock had a season-high seven TD passes in Week 1 against Southwest Missouri State.

He threw 11 in a span of two weeks in games against Idaho (six) and Connecticut (five).
