Media, fans react to Arkansas firing Bret Bielema moments after Mizzou loss
Arkansas’ quick move to fire Bret Bielema came moments after the loss to Missouri.
Bielema’s run ends after five seasons in Fayetteville with a 29-34 record, including 4-8 season in 2017. Earlier this month, Arkansas fired Bielema’s biggest supporter in AD Jeff Long.
Here is a collection of immediate action of the firing from fans and media:
Cold blooded. Arkansas handed out release immediately after game announcing Bielema has been fired.

Since Jen Bielema tweeted #karma in September 2013 after Wisconsin’s controversial loss at Arizona State; Wisconsin is 50-12, Arkansas is 26-34

Bielema's demise again reminds Missouri how fortunate their placement in the SEC East really was. That side of the league is a wood chipper that schools feed coaches into.

Everyone knew Bret Bielema would be fired, but announcing it before he got out of the locker room.
Huh.
OK then.— George Schroeder (@GeorgeSchroeder) November 24, 2017
Bielema is a class act who cared about his players & their lives off the field.
That’s worth something & I wish him the best in the future. @BretBielema

As big a fan as I've always been of Bret Bielema, I'm a bigger fan now. His handling of this press conference, speaking so highly of Arkansas and pledging to help in any way possible down the road. That isn't normal. He isn't normal. #WooBret

Classy: Bielema doing a press conference after he's been fired.
Not so classy: Firing a guy before he walks off the field and immediately issuing a press release.— John Talty (@JTalty) November 24, 2017
Well that was fast. Coach Bielema fires as head coach!
