LSU's Toby Weathersby and Donte Jackson request NFL draft grades ahead of bowl game
As LSU players prepare for Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl, some may have one eye on their draft grade from the NFL as they make decisions about next season.
Two of them who requested their draft grades are offensive tackle Toby Weathersby and cornerback Donte Jackson.
Weathersby is considered the 19th-ranked offensive tackle, according to WalterFootball.com, while Jackson is the 12th-ranked cornerback. USA TODAY’s Draftwire ranked Weathersby the No. 14 offensive tackle, while Jackson was No. 17 at his position.
Jackson immediately removed any suspense about his decision, as he told Ross Dellenger of The Advocate that there was “no question” he would come back to school if his draft grade suggested that he do so. For his part, Weathersby said he’s focused on the bowl game.
Weathersby’s frame, 6-foot-6, 310 pounds, is believed to be one of his strengths as a run blocker at the next level.
#LSU OT Toby Weathersby, draft eligible, did request a grade from the NFL Advisory Committee, as you’d expect. Focused on bowl game, he says.

How much stock is #LSU CB Donte Jackson putting in his grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Committee?
"What if it’s ‘Come back to school’? No question I’m coming back to school."
