One of the nation’s best high school football players is opening up his recruitment.

Kenyon Green, a 5-star offensive tackle out of Humble, Texas (Atascocita High School), announced on Monday night that he was decommitting from LSU.

“My love for the school and the coaching staff has not changed,” Green posted on his Twitter account.

He said that while LSU remains one of his top schools, he plans to explore “the other opportunities available to me.”

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, Green is a true blue chip in the class of 2019. Not only is he listed as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation, he’s also the No. 1 overall prospect in the talent-laden state of Texas.

Green is the No. 9 prospect in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite.

In addition to the one he received from LSU and Ed Orgeron, Green already holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas A&M — among many other schools.
