The Georgia Bulldogs lost some depth along their offensive line on Saturday, as coach Kirby Smart confirmed a player was leaving the team due to medical reasons.

That player is Sam Madden, who was a member of the Dawgs’ 2015 recruiting class, but never saw the field in his three years in Athens.

Though he never cracked the lineup, his presence will be missed around the scout team, where Madden did his work for the team:

According to the 247Sports composite, Madden was the No. 47 overall offensive tackle in the class of 2015 and the No. 10 overall recruit from the state of New Jersey.

This is another player who has been forced to retire this offseason, joining S Rashad Roundtree.
