Former Georgia standout and new Chicago Bears LB Roquan Smith received some great news late Tuesday night.

On Saturday, Smith reported to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department that several game-worn uniforms, a helmet and other items were stolen from his car. However, according to The Summerville News, those items have now been recovered, along with a Georgia bag, a watch and a couple of banners.

The perpetrator is allegedly a teenager and student at the University of Georgia, whose name hasn’t been released, and the items were recovered in Chattooga County, which is about a three-hour drive from Athens.

According to the report, Athens police traced a fingerprint found on Smith’s car back to a Summerville teenager who attends UGA. The teenager allegedly confessed that he took some of the items to his dad’s house in Summerville. Athens police were notified of the recovery and sent someone to retrieve the items around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night.

“There is no telling how much this stuff is worth. Some of it, like his 2017 National Championship helmet is probably priceless,” Summerville Police Detective Ty Hutchins said.

Sure, Smith now has many millions after becoming a first-round pick, but having game-worn uniforms from college is just about priceless.
