The SEC now has two teams a win away from the College World Series Championship Series as Arkansas has just defeated Texas Tech 7 to 4 in Omaha. The Razorbacks left little doubt as to which team was better in this one as they scored three runs in the first two innings and never looked back in this one.

Razorback centerfielder Dominic Fletcher was unstoppable in this game, going four-for-four at the plate with a home run and four RBIs. He is the first player to accomplish that feat in a College World Series game in TD Ameritrade Park.

In total, Arkansas had 12 hits to Texas Tech’s six. The Red Raiders rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and cut the lead to 7-4, but the Hogs were able to stop the bleeding and close out the game.

Arkansas now joins Mississippi State as being only a game away from the Championship Series, a best-of-three affair beginning Monday. The Razorbacks will play again Friday, facing the winner of Thursday’s Florida-Texas Tech elimination game.
