Everyone gushing over former UK standout Kevin Knox after Knicks' Summer League debut
New York may have found a gem in former Kentucky standout Kevin Knox.
Eight teams passed on Knox before the Knicks drafted him at No. 9 overall last month, and it appears that he’s NBA-ready now. Knox put on a show Saturday in his NBA Summer League debut, scoring 22 points and adding eight rebounds.
In fact, his first points as a Knick came on a nasty dunk:

We’re still not sure how Knox slipped to No. 9, and Knicks fans even booed Knox when he was drafted. He could be the NBA’s Rookie of the Year.
Knox also threw down another nasty dunk Saturday:

Following Knox’s impressive debut, many who were taking notice reacted on social media:
Congrats to Knicks fans on Kevin Knox – I try hard not to overreact to Summer League, but it’s clear he’s an ideal 2-way wing for whatever the NBA is now. Very polished for his age already.
