The (official) Matt Luke era at Ole Miss begins today at 2018 SEC Media Days in Atlanta, Ga.

While serving as the interim head coach for the Ole Miss Rebels during the 2017 season, Matt Luke and his team went 6-6 (3-5 in conference). In late November, Ole Miss hired Matt Luke as the full-time head coach of the program.

The 2018 season is a big one for Ole Miss as they fully transition away from the Hugh Freeze era. Expectations aren’t overly high for the season, so if Matt Luke can deliver an overachieving result, it’ll be viewed as a big step for the program moving forward. That work begins today as Matt Luke faces the media on Ole Miss day at SEC Media Days.
