Clemson arrived in College Station, Texas on Friday afternoon, and the Tigers walked off the plane in style ahead of Saturday’s game at Texas A&M.

Known as a players’ coach, it was no surprise coach Dabo Swinney either signed off on the move, or was OK with it.

Led by DT Christian Wilkins, the Tigers wore toothy grins as they arrived in Texas.

Aside from the reunion of coach Jimbo Fisher, formerly of Florida State, with Swinney and Clemson, the storylines in this one are largely centered around the quarterback play.

Second-ranked Clemson is expected to play Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence a week after they dispatched of Furman, 48-7. The Aggies, meanwhile, will start Kellen Mond after he was relieved in the second half by Nick Starkel in the 59-7 win over Northwestern State.

Though it’s his first season, this is an early barometer for Fisher against one of the nation’s elite teams. Clemson is looking to erase some of the memories from its last trip to Texas A&M, a 27-6 loss in 2004 when Swinney was in his second year as receivers coach.

The game is set to kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
