Texas A&M LB Anthony Hines reacts after finding out his season is done
Texas A&M lost a key defensive player Saturday when LB Anthony Hines suffered a leg injury in the loss to Clemson, and it was announced Wednesday that it was a season-ending injury.
As a freshman last season, he had 33 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble in 13 games and was named to the Freshman All-SEC Team. He made a season-high seven tackles against Auburn, and had a sack and four tackles in the regular season finale at LSU.
Hines was injured on a touchback play, as coach Jimbo Fisher called it a lower leg injury after it appeared to happen with about two minutes remaining in the game on Saturday. It’s a shot to the depth for the Aggies on defense because they’ve already lost LB Ikenna Okeke earlier.
Gods Plan !! Looking forward to supporting my team all season!! Soo thankful to have the support system I have! TAMU truly is a special place❣️ 2019 is my year⚠️♠️? #GigEm
