Vince Marrow is one of the key assistants on the Kentucky football staff, and he’s made a name for himself by pulling in key recruits from Ohio.

But since the Wildcats have started 4-0, Marrow, UK’s tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator, said recruiting has changed.

“It was kind of hard recruiting early, when we first got here,” he said, according to video posted by the Kentucky Kernel. “Now I know how Ohio State and all those guys feel. When you’re on the other side of the thing, and now being a top 20 team, you got everybody. Guys that were so-so now they want to hurry up and take an official visit. They’re afraid we’re going to fill up now on our recruiting board.”

Kentucky gets another shot to keep the dream season going when it hosts South Carolina on Saturday night looking for a fifth straight win over the Gamecocks.

“It’s good to be on the other side, but it’s well deserved, we’ve worked hard for it,” Marrow said.

If Kentucky can keep its winning ways going, recruiting will really take on an entirely different shape as signing day draws closer.
