Alabama has held true to form through the first five games of the season, easily taking care of its opponents. The Crimson Tide haven’t played in any game that has provided much drama, but they probably prefer it that way.

However, Nick Saban and his team still have some games left that could put a tick in their loss column. While three games stand out as the toughest according to ESPN’s Football Power Index, any SEC West game could prove to be troublesome.

The Crimson Tide’s three toughest games left, according to the index are a trip to Baton Rouge to play another top 5 program in LSU, the Iron Bowl at home against Auburn and a game at home against Mississippi State sandwiched between those two dates.

  • Saturday, November 3 at LSU (79.9 percent)
  • Saturday, November 24 vs. Auburn (88.5.8 percent)
  • Saturday, November 10 vs Mississippi State (90.5 percent)

Outside of the top three, the FPI likes Alabama to take care of business easily against other SEC opponents such as Arkansas and Tennessee which are both on the road.

The FPI hasn’t been wrong yet about Alabama’s season, and their game against LSU could line up to be a battle for the SEC West crown.
