Gus Malzahn lamented the same issues that have plagued Auburn’s offense all season. Namely, not getting into a rhythm and making too many mistakes.

The Tigers fell at Mississippi State, 23-9, in a game where they mustered just 90 rushing yards, and were 3-for-14 on third down. They also lost the time of possession battle 41:53 to 18:07.

The Auburn defense yielded 195 rushing yards and two touchdowns to Mississippi State QB Nick Fitzgerald. The Tigers fell to 4-2 and 1-2 in the SEC.

Auburn will return to action next week when it plays host to Tennessee.
