What Joe Moorhead said after Mississippi State’s win over Auburn

Joe Moorhead appeared to especially enjoy this Mississippi State win coming off losses in recent weeks to Kentucky and Florida.
The Bulldogs coach enjoyed seeing the stat line that his team rang up 349 rushing yards in the 23-9 win. Perhaps as a nod to the critics who have been disappointed in the team’s play recently, Moorhead said he took his “coaching pills” this week.
The Mississippi State offense got off to a slow start, but behind Nick Fitzgerald, who had 195 yards rushing and two touchdowns, it pulled away in the second half.
Mississippi State is off next week, and will return to action on Oct. 20 at LSU.
Joe Moorhead said he forgot to take his coaching pills the last two weeks but he took ‘em this week.

Mississippi State ran the ball on over 70 percent of its plays, but Moorhead says that happened "organically." He says it wasn't drawn up that way heading into the game.
