On Monday, Nick Saban announced that junior CB Trevon Diggs suffered a broken foot in the blowout win over Arkansas Saturday. Saban went on to say that Diggs would be out indefinitely, but he didn’t give any sort of timeline.

However, according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz, Diggs’ injury will cost him the season. He’s expected to be out 4-6 months, meaning he’ll miss the post-season, too.

While Alabama’s defense hasn’t been too impressive this season, this is a big blow to the secondary. Diggs has been a consistent starter and producer this year, and his presence will certainly be missed. Through six games this season, Diggs has made 20 tackles, one INT and six pass breakups.

Diggs’ injury comes at the worst time for the Tide, too. The Crimson Tide host pass-heavy and explosive Missouri Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
