Arkansas appears to be firmly in the sweepstakes to land Kelly Bryant.

The graduate transfer quarterback from Clemson has set an official visit for the Razorbacks’ game against Tulsa on Oct. 20, according to a report from Rivals.com. Bryant is visiting North Carolina on Saturday and will likely stop at several schools as he makes his decision.

“I’m going to take my first official visit to Arkansas,” Bryant told Rivals.com. “I’m excited to get down to Fayetteville and see what all Arkansas has to offer.”

Simply bringing Bryant in for a visit is huge for Arkansas. He’ll have just a limited number of those before the season ends, and he’ll need to make a decision over the next few months because, according to the report, he plans to enroll in January at the school he chooses.

The Razorbacks have been rumored to be a good fit for Bryant, mostly because of first-year head coach Chad Morris. Though Morris wasn’t heavily involved in the quarterback’s recruitment, he was offensive coordinator at Clemson until 2014, the year prior to Bryant’s first season with the Tigers.

Bryant opted to transfer from Clemson after freshman Trevor Lawrence took his starting job. Having appeared in only four games prior to transferring, Bryant was able to take advantage of the new transfer rule to maintain a season of eligibility at his new destination.
