As a double-digit underdog at home, the path to victory this week for LSU against Alabama appears to be a narrow one.

But SEC Network host Paul Finebaum, in his weekly Monday morning appearance on Birmingham-based WJOX 94.5 FM radio show The Roundable, said he sees one way the Tigers could pull the upset, and it helps that the game is in Tiger Stadium. Alabama, of course, has won seven straight in the series.

“What’s the path to victory for LSU?” Finebaum asked.

“It’s to see something that we haven’t seen the entire season — That’s Tua (Tagovailoa) rattled in the first half, to have confusion offensively, to see a turnover. I mean, these things sound like cliches, but they are.”

Tagovailoa has yet to commit a turnover this season, and has 25 passing touchdowns, while completing 70 percent of his passes.

There may be some debate about how close the game will be, and if the point spread will be covered either way. But Finebaum said when it comes down to a final prediction, there’s a clear consensus.

“If you put college football experts in a room and ask who’s going to win this game, they’re all going to say Alabama.”
