WATCH: Top basketball recruit chooses Memphis over Kentucky with the help of a unicorn

High school athletes have found interesting ways to announce their college decision over the years, but this may be the first involving a unicorn.
On Tuesday, top basketball recruit James Wiseman made his decision, choosing Memphis over several other schools, including Kentucky.
To announce the decision at the ceremony, Wiseman pulled out a unicorn, which had a Memphis logo on its side, out from under the table.
It was certainly a unique choice by the No. 1 recruit in the country, per the 247sports composite rankings.

Wiseman, a 5-star recruit, is a 7-foot center at East High School in Memphis, so he’ll be staying close to home for college.
Kentucky coach John Calipari visited with Wiseman last month, but Wiseman made two visits to Memphis since then.
