ESPN CFP expert says there’s a caveat to Alabama losing to Georgia and still making CFP

Alabama finished the regular season 12-0. The consensus No. 1, some in the media, including SDS columnist Connor O’Gara, believe the Crimson Tide are in the College Football Playoff’s final four win or lose against Georgia Saturday in the SEC Championship Game.

ESPN’s CFP expert Heather Dinich weighed in on that storyline during a Tuesday appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show.” Dinich tells Finebaum it would have to be a “close loss” for Alabama to remain in the top four.

Seeing as Alabama hasn’t been blown out in ages, one could take Dinich’s comments as virtually agreeing with the belief that Nick Saban’s squad
