Georgia Tech is really turning the page on the Paul Johnson era.

Recently hired Yellow Jackets coach Geoff Collins will not keep any of Johnson’s assistants on board next season, according to a report from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. That means Collins will have to hire 10 new coaches in the weeks after Georgia Tech’s Quick Lane Bowl matchup against Minnesota on Dec. 26.

While wholesale changes are common with new coaches, the situation at Georgia Tech is even less surprising considering Collins will almost certainly move away from the recently retired Johnson’s triple option offense.

Collins may pull from his former staff at Temple, which could be in for staff changes of its own under new coach Manny Diaz. Collins spent six years as a defensive assistant at Mississippi State and Florida before taking over at Temple in 2017, so his Yellow Jackets staff could feature a few of his former SEC coworkers.

His replacement coaches will be something for Georgia fans to keep an eye on over the coming weeks.
