During a National Signing Day celebration event in Nashville, Jeremy Pruitt announced that injured OL Chance Hall is having to give up football.

Hall would have been a fifth-year senior in 2019; however, his career has been cut short due to a lingering knee injury, and he will go on medical scholarship.

The Roanoke, Virginia, native played in eight games in 2018. He started seven games as a freshman in 2015 and made six starts as a sophomore after missing the first three games of the season due to injury. Hall then redshirted in 2017.

Hall originally signed with Tennessee in the class of 2015. The 6-foot-5, 328-pound prospect was rated a 3-star and ranked as the nation’s No. 76 overall OT and the state of Virginia’s No. 23 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He signed with Tennessee over Virginia and Duke, among others.
