Gervon Dexter remains firmly committed to Florida but that isn’t going to stop the Lake Wales native from taking full advantage of the opportunities presented to him during the recruiting process.

The 6-foot-6, 276-pound defensive lineman from Lake Wales High School committed to Florida in November but there’s still a long way to go until he can sign with the Gators as a member of the 2020 recruiting class. The four-star lineman holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M and Tennessee out of the SEC and announced on Friday he plans to use all five of his officials in the coming months.

Considering prospects only have an opportunity to take these free trips once, it’s not unusual for recruits to want to take visits while they have a chance to do so. Being committed to Florida isn’t going to stop schools from pursuing Dexter, so he may as well visit other schools still interested in pursuing him.

According to Dexter, the five officials he plans to visit are Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Nebraska. UPDATE: he has since deleted the tweet but here’s a screenshot:
