Arkansas fans vent on social media after Razorbacks drop 5th straight game
To call the 2018-19 basketball season a disappointment for Arkansas would be an understatement. For many of the Razorback faithful, a low point has been hit that requires a coaching change.
The Hogs fell 87-80 Saturday to Texas A&M. Losing five-straight with No. 5 coming against a team with a losing record (12-14, 5-9 SEC) has many Arkansas fans on social media calling for the firing of coach Mike Anderson.
It’s hard to imagine things will get any better for Anderson soon. The Razorbacks play at Kentucky (23-4, 12-2) Tuesday night.
Anderson was given a contract extension in January 2018, when the Hogs were on their way to a berth in the NCAA tournament. A lot has changed, however, in the past year. The Razorbacks are currently 14-13 and 5-9 in SEC play, a season that may prove disappointing enough to result in Anderson’s firing.
Here’s a sampling of the social media reaction:

I don’t know if Mike Anderson’s job is in jeopardy but a loss to a sub-.500 A&M team doesn’t help his cause.

Mike Anderson has lost this team mentally….. when you lose your team it’s time for a change. #Razorbacks

That might very well be the game that drives the last nail in Mike Anderson’s coffin. Embarrassing. @RazorbackMBB

The only question is how hot is Mike Anderson’s seat.

I love Mike Anderson. I was really hoping he could be the bridge back to the golden years.
But he's not.
Best of luck to him.
But we have to make a change, and move on.
Or this mediocrity will continue.

Mike Anderson is a nice man, is wealthy, and will most likely coach again. But, it is time for a change.
No offensive sets, no inbounds plays, no substitution plans, and I would venture to guess that our new, fancy technology and analytics office has never been used.

I want Mike Anderson to get another chance but he wasn’t earned it. Nor does he coach like he waves one
