Auburn’s Jared Harper was one of five SEC underclassmen to not get picked in Thursday night’s NBA Draft.

However, according to multiple reports, Harper signed a summer league deal with the Phoenix Suns. The 5-foot-7, 175-pound guard finished his junior season averaging over 15 points and nearly six assists per game.

The Georgia native was a second-team All-SEC performer and was named the NCAA Midwest Regional Most Outstanding Player. Harper was invited to the NBA Combine, but unfortunately, he went undrafted. Thankfully for Harper, the Suns have decided to take a shot on him.

Obviously, Harper’s size works against him, but what he lacks in size, his quickness and long range shooting ability certainly help make up for it. It’ll be interesting to see if he can hang around in the NBA.
