Did John Calipari fire a shot at Duke's Coach K with this tweet about the Wildcats?
The Kentucky Wildcats lost in the Elite Eight this year, falling to fellow SEC squad Auburn. Duke also lost in the Elite Eight, falling to Big Ten powerhouse Michigan State.
While coach John Calipari and the Wildcats used to be the best at playing the “one-and-done” game, Duke and coach Mike Krzyzewski have taken over as the top recruiters in today’s game.
As you can see below, it seems Coach Cal may have taken to Twitter to call out Coach K for last year’s Duke team, when it seemed like top recruits Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett were favored over other players:
We don’t promote two guys and push everyone else to the curb. This is about all these kids becoming their best version. As this team succeeds, we all become our best version. BIG TEAM, BETTER ME. And yes, we trademarked that.

Cam Reddish was also a talented player on that Duke team, but Barrett and Williamson dominated the ball when they were on the court.
Kentucky and Duke are both bringing in talented freshman classes once again this fall, so we’ll see if this rivalry continues to intensify between the two legendary coaches.
