The Week 4 USA Today Coaches Poll was released on Sunday, ranking the 25 best teams in college football following Saturday’s latest round of action. 10 SEC teams are included among the latest top 25.
The top 5 remains unchanged from last week’s poll with Texas still the No. 1 team in the country ahead of No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 4 Indiana and No. 5 Miami. Ole Miss moved up a few spots to No. 6 after beating LSU (Now No. 11) on Saturday night.
Other ranked SEC teams include: Alabama (No. 8), Tennessee (No. 13), Texas A&M (No. 20), Mizzou (No. 21), Florida (No. 22) and Oklahoma (No. 24). Mississippi State, Kentucky and Vanderbilt all received votes.
There are a few surprises in this week’s poll. For starters, Mississippi State is not ranked after improving to 3-0 with a comeback win over South Carolina. Oklahoma, however, is still ranked after barely beating New Mexico on Saturday.
