There’s a lot of history at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium. Missouri has played its home games there since 1926, which means there have been a lot of Tigers football players to step onto that gridiron.

Another season at Faurot Field begins Saturday as Missouri hosts West Virginia for its home opener. The Tigers are coming off a 37-31 loss to Wyoming last weekend, so they’ll be looking to bounce back with a win over a quality Big 12 opponent in the Mountaineers.

Ahead of Saturday’s game, Missouri released an awesome hype video that acknowledges the history and tradition of the program:

The all-time series between Missouri and West Virginia is tied at 3, but the Tigers haven’t had much recent success against the Mountaineers. Since 1927, Missouri has notched only one win over West Virginia — a 34-31 victory in 1998.

In the last meeting between the two schools in 2016, the Mountaineers won 26-11. But this will be the first time these two schools will face off in Columbia since 1994.

Missouri and West Virginia will kick off at noon ET on Saturday on ESPN2.
