This week will be Bo Nix’ first trip to College Station, Texas ever, as the freshman quarterback at Auburn will make his first road start in the SEC at Texas A&M.

“It’s going to be tough, and I know that at the start of the week,” Nix said, according to video posted by Auburn247. “I’m going to have to do my very best to prepare and do my job so that I can help the team as much as I can come Saturday and it’s not a big shock to me, and I’m not a little behind. So I have to focus on my job so I can start fast like the rest of our guys.”

Nix was asked about his development, and said he has improved, is more calm and more aware of where to look in the pre-snap reads.

“I’m more comfortable with the offense, I’m more comfortable with how Coach Malzahn likes to call plays,” he said. “So three games in, I feel like I’m in a good spot and I’m looking forward to going here in the next few weeks and just keep getting better.”

Despite some drops by receivers earlier this season, Nix said he still strives for a perfect game passing, and in terms of running, he looks to get as many yards as he can given a specific situation.
