What Gus Malzahn said after Auburn's loss to Georgia
Auburn lost a frustrating game against Georgia Saturday 21-14.
The Bulldogs led the Tigers 21-0 going into the fourth quarter before AU’s offense came alive and scored two touchdowns. Two pivotal plays stood out — officials reversing receiver Seth Williams’ catch on the field to an incompletion and Bo Nix’s incompletion to Harold Joiner on fourth down in the fourth quarter.
Gus Malzahn’s offense continues to search for an identity. With a freshman quarterback in Nix and a lack of a running game, Auburn hasn’t really had an identity all season on that side of the football.
Following the loss to the Bulldogs, Malzahn spoke to the media:
Auburn HC Gus Malzahn on the message to the offense in the first three quarters: "Score the first touchdown, we'll get the crowd back in it. We'll get some momentum. Sure enough, that's what happened."

Gus Malzahn: "We're disappointed. I think everybody can see we have a good football team.
"We have great character. "

Gus Malzahn: "They (the defense) stuffed them in the fourth quarter. We had the momentum. The crowd was in it."
Said the overturned catch by Seth Williams, essentially, was a killer.
