Georgia reportedly learned some unfortunate news. A report by Jake Rowe of 247Sports says that freshman WR Dominick Blaylock has suffered a torn ACL.

Blaylock had to be carted off the field in the first quarter of Saturday’s SEC Championship Game after he caught a nine-yard pass to convert a third-and-3. He came down awkwardly on the turf and held his right knee, visibly in pain.

Blaylock will obviously miss Georgia’s upcoming bowl game (not yet announced, but presumably the Sugar Bowl). The good news is that Rowe reports Blaylock should be fully cleared at the start of preseason camp in 2020.

The freshman, who measures 6-1, 195 pounds, recorded 18 receptions for 310 yards and five touchdowns in the 2019 season. He also saw action as a punt returner, logging 14 returns for 128 yards.

Blaylock will reportedly have surgery in the coming days.
