Snapping a six-game losing streak, the Arizona Cardinals (4-9-1) defeated the Cleveland Browns (7-7), 38-24, on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

Scoring four of the Cardinals’ five touchdowns, former Alabama running back Kenyan Drake led the way with 137 yards on 22 rushes.

Playing nearly the first three-and-a-half seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins, Drake was traded to Arizona on October 28 for a conditional sixth-round pick in the upcoming draft. In the six games since the trade, he has thrived in head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s offense, totaling 417 yards on the ground and five touchdowns.

While a four-score outing obviously jumps off the page, ESPN Stats & Info shared just how rare a performance of this caliber has been for the NFC West franchise:

Long hampered by inconsistent usage by then-head coach Adam Gase and splitting carries with players such as former Miami Hurricane Frank Gore, Drake had never reached five rushing touchdowns in a single-season before. In fact, Sunday’s performance alone tied his previous career-high:

A product of Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, Drake was a four-star tailback and one of the state’s top-10 players in the 2012 cycle. Holding offers from both the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, he elected to take his talents west and join Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide. Somewhat ironically, current Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was Drake’s primary recruiter at Alabama.

A two-time national champion during his stay in Tuscaloosa, he totaled 1,495 yards and 18 touchdowns on 233 carries (6.4 AVG). Also a threat in the return game, Drake handled 19 kicks as a senior in 2015, registering 505 yards (26.6 AVG) and a score.

Looking to reach 11 wins for the ninth consecutive season, No. 13 Alabama will face No. 14 Michigan in the Vrbo Citrus Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on January 1 at 1:00PM ET on ABC.
