LSU is dismantling Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff semifinal game from the Peach Bowl. The Tigers currently hold a dominant 56-14 lead over the Sooners in the third quarter.

Quarterback Joe Burrow has already thrown seven touchdowns, four of them to receiver Justin Jefferson. The Tigers have already racked up over 500 yards of total offense, and there’s plenty of game left.

LSU landed the No. 1 seed in the final Playoff ranking, jumping Ohio State. Meanwhile, Oklahoma finished with the No. 4 seed after LSU beat Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

Coming into the Playoff semifinal game, however, LSU’s coaching staff thought the Sooners were the fifth best team the Tigers would face this season, according to Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger. Dellenger said that the staff thought Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia were all better than Oklahoma.

By the way this semifinal game is playing out, it’s hard to argue with that opinion.

Ole Miss gave LSU a much tougher game than Oklahoma is currently.
