A key member of the LSU offensive line has announced his plans for the 2020 season.

LT Saahdiq Charles announced on Instagram that he would leave LSU after his junior season and enter the NFL Draft. He thanked his teammates for challenging him to compete every day to be the best player he could be on and off the field.

Charles started at left tackle most of the season, and was part of the LSU offensive line that was named the Joe Moore Award winner for the top unit in the nation. He graded out at 87 percent in the win over Oklahoma after achieving a season-best grade of 92 percent in the win over Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

He did his best against some of the best teams on the schedule. Charles helped the Tigers to more than 559 yards, including 166 on the ground against Alabama. He graded out at 88 percent against one of the top defensive lines in the nation in Auburn, as he led the way for Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s 136 yards on the ground. Charles also played all 50 snaps against the Florida defensive line and earned an overall grade of 91 percent.

Charles is 6-foot-4 and 295 pounds from Jackson, Mississippi.
