It appears that Austin Thomas is on the move again for 2020.

The Texas A&M recruiting ace, who has held the title of Associate Athletic Director for Football Personnel for two years, is a coveted staffer when it comes to recruiting, and according to coaching website FootballScoop, Thomas will leave the Aggies to join Dave Aranda’s staff at Baylor. Aranda recently left LSU to become the Bears’ head coach.

Thomas will stay in the state of Texas; however, he’ll become the Bears’ General Manager of Football Operations to oversee recruiting, per the report. Thomas and Aranda worked together at LSU, where he spent five years, the last of which he was promoted to General Manger in 2016.

He became the first General Manager in the history of SEC and only one of two in the nation. At LSU, Thomas was responsible for the oversight and management of the entire LSU Football program. He was a major force in recruiting in Baton Rouge, as he helped the Tigers land back-to-back top five recruiting classes in 2014 and 2015.

Thomas was named the Personnel Director of the Year in 2015.
