The Georgia Bulldogs recorded the SEC’s first commitment on National Signing Day.

Three-star defensive tackle Cameron Kinnie (Suwanee, Ga.) committed to the Bulldogs over offers from Iowa State and Syracuse, among others. The 6-foot-3, 305 pound defender is ranked as the nation’s No. 117 defensive tackle and the state of Georgia’s No. 158 overall prospect for the class of 2020, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Suwanee native can play either end or tackle in Athens, and he played offensive line in high school, too, as he’s a versatile prospect. Kinnie is also being recruited by offensive line coach Matt Luke. He officially visited Georgia on January 24, and his recruitment with UGA has heated up recently.

Kinnie became the Bulldogs 24th commitment for the class of 2020, and he shared his commitment early Wednesday morning via social media:

“I would like to thank my teammates for always believing in me and forcing me to get better day and day out,” he wrote on Twitter. “I would like to thank all of the coaches that have recruited me and given me a chance to be a part of their program. With that being said I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at the University of Georgia.”
