It has been several years since former Florida great Tim Tebow last suited up for a football game.
He’s currently a minor leaguer in the New York Mets system and is gearing up for another spring training with the team. However, as the XFL goes through its second weekend of games, the call to return to the gridiron could come soon for Tebow.
Per Tim Healey, a Mets beat writer, Tebow has had some communication with the XFL, but isn’t leaving baseball just yet:
Tim Tebow said he had “some communication” with the XFL, but he is dedicated to baseball right now.
He added that he loves what the XFL is doing and believes some players will get NFL roster spots after impressing teams in this new league.

Perhaps if the XFL returns in 2021 for a second season, Tebow will join it, but it seems as if it might be too late to play quarterback for a team in the new league this year.
Either way, fans of Tebow’s will closely monitor his interest with the XFL in the coming months.
