The LSU Tigers soared through a historic national championship winning season in 2019 behind Joe Burrow and a high-flying offense. In its last 3 games, LSU outscored No. 4 Georgia, No. 4 Oklahoma and No. 3 Clemson 142 to 63.

For 2020, the schedule couldn’t set up better for the 10-game conference-only slate. When the SEC added 2 league games, the Tigers added Vanderbilt and Missouri, 2 of the weaker teams in the Eastern Division.

ESPN’s Football Power Index predicts the Tigers will finish 8-2 on the season, but it has just a 2.6 percent chance of going undefeated and 13.9 percent of winning the SEC.

The FPI predicts every game for LSU in 2020:

  • Sept. 26 vs. Miss State: 96 percent win projection
  • Oct. 3 @ Vanderbilt: 96.6 percent win projection
  • Oct. 10 vs. Missouri: 95.1 percent win projection
  • Oct. 17 @ Florida: 54.4 percent win projection
  • Oct. 24 vs. South Carolina: 92 percent win projection
  • Oct. 31 @ Auburn: 50.3 percent win projection
  • Nov. 14 vs. Alabama: 42.4 percent win projection
  • Nov. 21 @ Arkansas: 91.4 percent win projection
  • Nov. 28 @ Texas A&M: 62.5 percent win projection
  • Dec. 5 vs. Ole Miss: 91.7 percent win projection

The FPI predicts LSU to lose the Alabama game; however, road games against Florida and Auburn are tossups, according to the Index.
