Joe Burrow leading LSU to the national championship last season healed a lot of wounds within the LSU and greater Louisiana communities. That includes former Tiger players like WR Odell Beckham Jr.

“He’s the GOAT… no, I’m playing,” Beckham said, per Ben Axelrod of WKYC. He won the ‘chip for us. That was tremendous to be able to see…. I think he soothed a lot of pain that a lot of us (LSU) players have felt. He’s forever a legend.”

The Cleveland Browns and Beckham will face off against Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night in Cleveland on the NFL Network. Both teams lost their season opener last week.

Beckham added, “It’s a short week. We’ve got to flush it and move on.”

Beckham had a crucial dropped pass on a third-down play late in the first half of Sunday’s 38-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens that was one of several mistakes by the Browns in the loss.

While he admits there are distractions around him because of the mistakes he has made and success in the past, the bottom line is, “I care about one thing and that’s winning and producing.”
