DK Metcalf is only 18 regular-season games into his NFL career, but he’s already showing that he has the potential to be a top wide receiver in the league for years to come. Just ask Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss.

During ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” on Monday, Moss had high praise for Metcalf, who is in his second season with the Seattle Seahawks, after the former Ole Miss standout had an impressive showing on Sunday night against the New England Patriots. Moss noted that Metcalf is “going to be a problem” for opposing NFL teams.

“I knew that Stephon Gilmore was going to follow [Metcalf] around the field, but as we all saw [Sunday] night, it was a slugfest,” Moss said on the show (h/t Austin Nivison of 247Sports.com). “… He’s big and physical. Stephon Gilmore is taking the outside away. Let’s hit him with a slant. Let’s be big and physical, big guy.”

Metcalf had four receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown in Seattle’s 35-30 win, even though he was going up against Gilmore, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year. That performance came after Metcalf had four receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks’ 38-25 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1.

After playing at Ole Miss from 2016-18, Metcalf was taken by Seattle in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He then went on to have a solid rookie season, notching 58 receptions for 900 yards and seven touchdowns last year.

Metcalf will look to keep his impressive start going when the Seahawks host the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
