The 2020 season is finally set to begin Saturday, and Missouri will be looking to open the year with a huge statement.

The Tigers will start the season with a home matchup against No. 2 Alabama. The Crimson Tide are coming off an 11-2 season and are one of the top teams in the country every year. If Missouri could pull off an upset, it would be an impressive way to start the new campaign.

It will also be the debut for new Missouri head coach Eliah Drinkwitz. After leading Appalachian State to a 12-1 record in his lone season as its head coach in 2019, Drinkwitz was hired by the Tigers to lead them into a new era.

Ahead of Saturday’s opener, Missouri released a hype video for the matchup, narrated by former Tigers wide receiver L’Damian Washington. Washington played for Missouri from 2010-13, with his last two seasons being the Tigers’ first two in the SEC.
