What Lane Kiffin said after Ole Miss' loss to Arkansas
Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin realizes that turnovers cost the Rebels the game on Saturday in a 33-21 loss to Arkansas.
“You can’t turn the ball over like that and expect to win,” Kiffin said, referring to seven turnovers by the Rebels.
He addressed Matt Corral’s six interceptions, and whether he considered bringing in John Rhys Plumlee.
Three first-half turnovers helped Arkansas build 20-0 halftime lead. It was the Razorbacks’ largest halftime advantage in an SEC game since 2016, their last winning season, and last home SEC win.

Kiffin on why we didn’t see much thrown to Yeboah today: “We had almost no dropped balls the whole year. Today we had the opposite, at least 4, big ones. People start taking things away. We didn’t see much man to man today.”

Kiffin on consideration to use Plumlee: “We stayed the same just because of what they were doing. I don’t believe you pull QBs quick. It affects confidence and rhythm. Most would have done that today, but it’s the same guy most people have been saying is one of best in country.”

Kiffin on what he told Matt: “You know, this game can be really humbling.” He said Arkansas played all zone and Matt was staring guys down and that’s where the interceptions came from.
