Lane Kiffin has found his punter for Ole Miss’ 2021 recruiting class.

On Tuesday, Daniel Bethel out of Anderson County (Tennessee) High School announced his pledge to the Rebels.

“First I would like the thank God for giving me the ability to kick and have all these opportunities,” Bethel wrote in a note shared on his Twitter account. “I want to thank my parents for taking me to camps, training and supporting my dream of becoming a D1 punter. To ACHS, you guys arwe family, I love our team and our school. To James Wilhoit, you started me kicking and showed me the Wilhoit way, and I’m glad I’m in the elite group of Tennessee specialists. With that, I’m proud to announce my commitment to play in the SEC with my good friend Caden Costa at Ole Miss. Thank you Coach (Blake) Gideon and Coach (Lane) Kiffin for the opportunity.”

Bethel jumped at the chance to play in the SEC.

“Ole Miss is in the SEC and none of my offers were really that big,” Bethel told the Ole Miss Spirit. “It’s been a big dream of mine as a kid to play on the biggest stage possible and Ole Miss really offered that.”

Bethel does not have a star rating on 247Sports or Rivals. Kohl’s Kicking rates Bethel a 5-star kicker and 5-star punter, ranking him the No. 40 kicker and No. 21 punter in the class of 2021.
