One of Georgia’s starting wide receivers is reportedly dealing with an injury.

Jake Rowe of 247Sports reported Tuesday that sophomore wide receiver George Pickens has been limited in practice:

Dawgs247 learned on Tuesday that sophomore wideout George Pickens is also dealing with an upper body injury and was limited in Tuesday’s practice. He donned a black, non-contact jersey during the workout and freshman receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint saw an uptick in reps with Pickens limited.

After a sensational freshman season, Pickens was hyped throughout the offseason heading into 2020. He leads all UGA wideouts in touchdowns so far with 2, but trails fellow sophomore Kearis Jackson in receptions (21 to 13) and receiving yards (323 to 140).

Rowe notes that if Pickens is limited or unable to play against Kentucky, Rosemy-Jacksaint will have a larger role. The freshman from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is currently ninth on the team in receiving with 3 catches for 30 yards. Rosemy-Jacksaint was rated the No. 8 wide receiver, No. 10 Florida product and No. 55 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite.

Georgia is coming off an unexpected bye week after the SEC schedule was shuffled due to Florida’s COVID-19 outbreak. The Bulldogs were originally scheduled to have Saturday off but will face the Kentucky Wildcats as the SEC had to move the UK-Mizzou game. UGA-Kentucky is set for a noon Eastern kickoff on the SEC Network.
