Mizzou’s roster situation is taking another hit. Wednesday morning it was reported that Tigers wide receiver Dominic Gicinto had entered his name into the transfer portal.

An MU spokesperson confirmed to Power Mizzou that Gicinto is transferring from the team. Earlier this week, Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz said the team had 56 scholarship players available. Gicinto was included in that number, meaning the Tigers are down to 55 players. The SEC threshold to play is 53 scholarship players available.

Gicinto joined Mizzou in 2018, totaling 23 catches for 284 yards and 2 touchdowns in his Tigers career. This season, he recorded 4 receptions for 52 yards.

Mizzou’s roster situation will be closely watched with games against South Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt remaining on the Tigers’ 2020 schedule.
