Arkansas player being called out for dirty play that could have injured Devonta Smith
Arkansas is having so much trouble slowing down Devonta Smith, one Razorback appeared to resort to a dirty play to slow down Alabama’s Heisman hopeful receiver.
If you missed it, Smith scored early in the game on the first punt return touchdown of his college career during the first quarter of the Arkansas game.
On Smith’s next punt return attempt, one Razorback appeared to try to hurt the Alabama receiver during the play. Check out No. 46 for Arkansas, Nathan Bax, roll up on Smith after making the tackle on Smith.
Smith looks to the referee on the field, seemingly asking for a flag for Bax’s roll-up attempt, and gets up gimpy. Thankfully, Smith was not severely injured on the play.
ESPN commentator Dan Orlovsky took issue with the play and called out Bax for a dirty play on the field.

#46 Nathan Bax of Arkansas. That was a trash move! Purposely trying to injure DeVonta Smith after the play with the knee twist.
