Marcus Tatum just can’t catch a break when it comes to coaching hires.

The former Tennessee lineman was recruited to Knoxville by Butch Jones and we all know how that worked out for all parties involved.

Once Jeremy Pruitt was hired in Knoxville, Tatum was asked to bulk up to fit the profile of the offensive lineman to fit Tennessee’s offense at the time.

After losing his starting spot on the offensive line during the 2019 season, the Florida native left Tennessee for UCF.

In his first season at UCF, Tatum appeared in every game for the Knights and made four starts.

Now, ironically, Tennessee has hired away the coach he signed on to play for at UCF.
