If Bronny James makes it to the SEC, he’ll do it after he bounces back from a season-ending knee injury.

James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, reportedly suffered the torn meniscus injury three weeks ago, the Los Angeles Daily News reported. James, a 5-star sophomore, has had surgery, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

The younger James is the No. 25 prospect in the Class of 2023, according to the 247Sports Composite, and has offers from Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, North Carolina and UCLA. He is ranked the No. 5 combo guard by the Composite. He’s listed at 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds.

The Daily News report suffered that the injury is believed to be season-ending, one source said, but it might depend on the status of high school basketball in California, which has yet to permit indoor high school competition, including basketball and volleyball.

Last season, James’ best game of the season came in Columbus, Ohio, against his father’s alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary. James notched his career-high that night with 15 points, including the go-ahead basket in a 59-56 victory in front of 14,000 fans.
